Getting to you in Zavalla
Zavalla is a small city of about 600 people southeast of Lufkin, where Highway 63 heads out toward Sam Rayburn Reservoir and the Angelina National Forest. Many homes here are out on county roads, so give us the road name and the nearest turn when you call.
Lake cabins and camp fridges
Zavalla sits between the national forest and Sam Rayburn, so a lot of fridges here live in weekend cabins and fishing camps. Those are the ones that get found dead and smelling bad after a storm took the power out while nobody was there.
When you are a long way from a store
Out here, losing a fridge full of food is a real cost and a long drive. Keep the doors shut while you wait: a full freezer holds about 48 hours closed, a fridge about 4 hours.
